AI Product Manager Intern - (AI x Greentech) (m/f/d)

As an AI Product Manager Intern at Reonic, you’ll sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and our customers. You’ll help make sure new features are tested thoroughly, releases run smoothly, and customer feedback continuously makes its way back into the product development process. This is not a coffee-run internship: you’ll take on real ownership from day one and work closely with engineers and other teams to improve both our product and the way we build and release it. Please note: This is a fully onsite internship in Augsburg for 4–6 months. What you’ll do • Support release testing: Help coordinate testing for upcoming releases and continuously test new features during development. Identify issues early and give clear, actionable feedback to engineering. • Help coordinate software releases: Keep track of features, changes, dependencies, and release timelines. Act as a communication hub between product, engineering, and other teams. • Improve product quality: Look beyond whether a feature technically works. Think about edge cases, usability, customer workflows, and how changes affect the overall product experience. • Turn feedback into action: Triage user feedback and bug reports, investigate and reproduce issues, and translate your findings into clear, well-described tickets for engineering. • Communicate what’s new: Write release notes, help run internal demos, and make sure colleagues understand what has changed and how new functionality works. • Work closely with engineering: Collaborate with engineers throughout the development process, ask the right questions, and help remove ambiguity before features reach customers. • Understand our customers: Build a deep understanding of the businesses using Reonic and use that context to contribute to better product decisions. What makes you a great fit • Product mindset: You naturally think beyond checklists. You want to understand why something is being built, who it is for, and what makes it useful. • Attention to detail: You spot inconsistencies, edge cases, and potential issues before they become customer problems. • Strong communication: You communicate clearly with engineers, product colleagues, and other stakeholders. Professional fluency in English (C1+) is required. • Technical curiosity: You enjoy understanding how software works and aren’t afraid to dig into technical details, investigate bugs, or learn new concepts. • Hands-on with AI tools: Coding isn’t required, but you’ve already vibe-coded a thing or two. You can quickly build a rough prototype to show engineers how a more complex feature could work, so they get a clear picture before the real build starts. • Customer orientation: You care about the experience of the people using the product and can turn qualitative feedback into actionable insights. • Ownership: You take responsibility, follow things through, and don’t wait for someone else to solve a problem you can help solve yourself. • Startup mindset: You’re comfortable in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and processes are still being built. • Student status: You’re currently enrolled at a university and available full-time for 4–6 months. A background in economics, engineering, computer science, or a related field is helpful, but not required. • Nice to have: First experience through internships, working student jobs, or university projects in product management, product operations, QA, software development, or B2B SaaS. Why join us? • Real impact: Help build software that enables businesses to accelerate the transition to renewable energy. • A product people use: Our platform is already used by 3,000+ paying B2B customers, so your work will reach real users. • Learn fast: Get hands-on experience in product management at a fast-growing startup, with close mentorship from our product and engineering team. • High ownership: Nothing is set in stone. You’ll have room to shape how we work and how the product evolves, even as an intern. • A great international team: We work hard, learn from each other, and make sure we have fun along the way. • Great setup: MacBook, gym membership subsidy, regular team events, coffee, Deutschland ticket and other perks. • Fair compensation: We offer a competitive internship salary. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply! Imposter syndrome shouldn’t hold you back. We value talent and passion above all.
