Forward Deployed Engineer | Tekkr FDE Network

Join the Tekkr FDE Network, where Europe's top Forward Deployed Engineers meet the top 1% of AI startups, like Parloa and Zauber. This isn't a job at a single company. You join a curated network that matches FDEs with Europe's best AI startups: startups that sell to enterprises and have real customer deployments in progress. Once you pass our assessments, you get a head start in the application process with our partner startups. Find out more about the Tekkr FDE Network: https://www.tekkr.io/fde-network What you get as a member • A head start in the hiring process at our partner startups, which receive your assessment score and reviewer notes • Support on hiring process at top AI companies • All of it is free for you. Startups pay a fee only when they hire. What FDEs do at our partner startups • Own a deployment end to end, from scoping to go-live • Run discovery: gather requirements and turn business needs into technical requirements • Work directly with the customer's engineers • Write production code, build integrations with enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, ticketing, transport management, data systems) and design the solution architecture • Explain technical topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives • Feed learnings from the field back into product, and build reusable patterns, tools and playbooks from individual deployments What we look for • Engineering: you ship production-quality code fast, work with APIs, databases and cloud platforms, and debug production issues under time pressure. Typical languages: Python, TypeScript. • Customer judgment: you turn a vague request into a scoped problem, and you know when to say no • Communication: you explain technical trade-offs clearly, in writing and live • Ownership: you have a track record of driving outcomes end to end, not just contributing, and you operate independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments • Track record: outlier achievements, such as shipped products or top performance anywhere Nice to have • Hands-on experience building with LLMs or AI agents (retrieval, evals, prompt engineering, tool use) • A product background What the process looks like 1. Apply: fill in our application form 2. Screening: get invited to a screening with our senior FDE experts or our AI evaluator. 3. Fast-tracked interviews: if you're in, you get support and fast-tracked access to the interview processes at our partner startups. Each startup runs its own hiring process. 4. Not hired? You're still part of the network. You can get fast-tracked access again, or support to improve your odds. What you should know • Every applicant goes through our assessments.
