Head of Product

Head of Product Our mission for you European energy costs are 2x compared to US and China. Electricity demand is expected to double by 2050. Market price volatility & complexity are here to stay. The backbone of Europe's industrial economy is at risk — and companies need to act now. trawa is building the solution: the first integrated B2B energy platform that orchestrates procurement, energy management, and flexibility steering in one product. Supply, Manage, Flex — combined. That integration unlocks up to 30% in recurring electricity cost savings — all while helping companies switch to renewable energy. We're the fastest-growing B2B energy platform in Europe. Active in Germany and Austria now, and expanding operations to a third market in 2027. We're on the road to European scale and move fast — the market window is open and we intend to own it. trawa is a scale-up based in Berlin with ~100 FTE, ~30 of whom work in Product & Tech. We've raised over €35M to date, including a €24M Series A in May 2025, backed by Balderton, Headline, Speedinvest, AENU, Magnetic, and Tiny VC. All three founders are on board and 100% committed to build the utility of the future. We're looking for a Head of Product to own vision, strategy, and execution across the entire customer journey. You'll report directly to the CEO, with close collaboration with the CTO and COO. You will join the leadership team alongside other department leaders. You'll shape the product that makes European industry competitive again — and you'll do it at pace. This role is based in Berlin. trawa is an "office first" company, which means you will work from the headquarters in Berlin with our international, dynamic team. Your team You will lead a well-established team of 6 Product Managers and Designers embedded in 6 interdisciplinary teams in Product & Engineering. You will be the key decision-maker for what the teams work on. Our main customer segment is the German Mittelstand, therefore fluent German is required for this position. You'll drive the evolution of three key areas: Product Vision & Strategy: Own the product vision for the customer-facing products and roadmap across Supply, Manage, and Flex. Turn market dynamics and customer pain into a clear, prioritized strategy that compounds value across products. Internal products such as Trading platform as well as Energy Utility Platform are out of scope for this role. Value Delivery at Scale: Drive execution across teams, products, and geographies. Own the metrics that matter. Turn data into decisions and trade-offs into momentum. Team & Organisation: Build and lead high-performing product teams. Value Delivery at Scale: You lead teams that deliver value at scale — shipping regularly, holding themselves accountable to outcomes, not just output. You set the bar for execution quality and speed across products, teams, and markets. You understand and master software product dynamics — activation, retention, pricing and upsell along the full customer lifecycle. You will have the mandate and the environment to reinvent product development, tooling, and ways of working with AI across the organization. Energy Expert (Strong Plus): Deep energy market expertise is beneficial — but not a prerequisite. At trawa, we're dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace. If you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly, we encourage you to apply — you may be the right fit for this or another opportunity. 90 Day Goals After 6 Weeks (Onboarding): • You deeply understand trawa's business and product • You have established your philosophy of running Product & Tech teams’ delivery • You shape new quarterly roadmap and OKR plans for your teams Month 3 (Ramp-Up): • You have assembled the company around your product vision for the entire customer journey • Your vision for the customer journey comes to live - first key metrics are moved • Your teams follow your rhythm of value delivery in fast measurable iterations Why us? Impact: European SMEs spend between €150k and €10M per year on electricity — most are overpaying and locked into outdated procurement. Your product will directly change how thousands of companies buy, manage, and use energy. The impact is measurable, the market is massive, and the timing is now. The Role: This is a rare opportunity to own product end-to-end at a company where product is the business. You won't be managing a feature backlog — you'll be shaping a platform that spans energy trading, real-time asset steering, and enterprise software. Few product roles in Europe offer this combination of complexity, commercial impact, and speed. Responsibility & Support: You'll join the leadership team with direct impact on company strategy. We support you through regular leadership sessions, cross-department leadership initiatives, and experienced mentors who want to see you succeed. Ownership: We empower our team members to take ownership of their work and drive results, regardless of background or experience level. Learning & Growth: We provide an annual budget and dedicated time for professional development. You'll have opportunities for mentorship, learning, and career progression. Our organisation brings together over 15 nationalities, contributing a variety of languages, experiences, and perspectives. At trawa, we're family-friendly with parents across all levels, and our diversity is represented throughout the company, including leadership. We're committed to an inclusive environment where everyone can do their best work. Package & Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package including salary and stock options, 30 days of vacation, and a range of benefits including subsidies for home internet and lunches, a Sports Club membership, dedicated learning days with an annual learning budget, plus a weekly team lunch and regular team events.
