Job description
Our international client is currently implementing Oracle Fusion HCM Time and Labor across multiple countries. The initial country implementation provides the foundation for subsequent rollouts. A large amount of Fast Formulas and country-specific adaptations must be developed, configured and validated within a demanding delivery schedule.
We are looking for a hands-on Oracle Fusion HCM Time & Labor specialist who personally develops, modifies, tests and troubleshoots Fast Formulas.
This is not a general Oracle HCM functional consulting, project management or solution architecture assignment.
Framework Conditions
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 4 months
• Capacity: 20-40 hours per week
• Location: Remote (Europe)
• Language: English
• Level: Senior
• Contract Type: Freelance
Tasks
• Independently develop, modify, compile and troubleshoot Oracle Fusion HCM Time & Labor Fast Formulas.
• Convert clock-in/clock-out data and time card entries into payroll-relevant time elements and quantities for downstream payroll processing.
• Configure Time Calculation Rules, Time Entry Rules, Time Categories, Time Consumer Sets, eligibility conditions and related OTL functionality.
• Implement working-time calculations covering shift premiums, night work, weekends, public holidays, meal allowances, unpaid breaks and country-specific labor rules.
• Support complex manufacturing shift environments, flexible work schedules and multiple time capture methods, including Web Clock, external systems and manual entries.
• Reuse existing Oracle seeded formulas, customer-developed formulas and standardized calculation patterns wherever appropriate.
• Use approved generative AI tools, particularly Claude and Oracle's Fusion Applications Skills Repository, to accelerate development and troubleshooting.
• Independently verify AI-generated code, compile formulas and execute unit tests covering normal, boundary and exception scenarios.
• Document formulas, test evidence, assumptions and delivery status.
Requirements
• Strong, recent, hands-on Oracle Fusion HCM Time and Labor experience.
• Proven personal development of production-relevant OTL Fast Formulas, particularly Time Calculation Rule formulas.
• Experience translating time card data into payroll elements and calculated quantities.
• Practical knowledge of Oracle Fast Formula types, contexts, database items, arrays, rule parameters and formula input/output structures.
• Experience with complex shift models, overtime, premiums, allowances, eligibility and time validation.
• Good understanding of Oracle Fusion Time & Labor integration with internal or external payroll providers.
• Practical experience developing and validating formulas using Claude or comparable generative AI tools.
• Strong unit testing, troubleshooting and payroll reconciliation capabilities.
• Ability to deliver standard formula enhancements within short development cycles, targeting approx. 1 hour for development and 1–2 hours for testing where complexity allows.
• Ability to work independently, challenge unclear requirements and communicate proactively with European project teams.
