People Operations Specialist

Role: Recruiter & People Operations Specialist Base Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 We're looking for a People Operations Specialist to lead recruiting across Blackthorn while also supporting core people operations work. You'll own the full-cycle hiring process for open roles company-wide — from intake through offer — while partnering with the VP of People Operations on onboarding, HR systems, and day-to-day operational support. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role suited to someone who enjoys both the relationship-driven work of recruiting and the precision of operational execution. What you’ll do Full-Cycle Recruiting • Own the end-to-end recruiting process for roles across the company, from intake calls with hiring managers through offer negotiation. • Source, screen, and manage candidate pipelines using our ATS, partnering closely with hiring managers on role requirements and timelines. • Build and maintain a strong candidate experience at every stage of the process. • Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, source effectiveness) and report regularly to leadership. People Operations Support • Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth experience for new hires and departing employees. • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data. • Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee questions on policies and programs. • Help maintain compliance with employment law across the states (and potentially countries) where Blackthorn has employees. Process & Systems Improvement • Identify opportunities to streamline recruiting and HR operational workflows. • Partner with the VP of People Operations on building scalable people processes as the company grows. What we look for • 3–5+ years of experience in recruiting, with some HR or people operations exposure. • Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruiting independently, including sourcing, screening, and closing candidates. • Comfortable working with HRIS and ATS tools. • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail. • Clear, confident communicator who can build trust with hiring managers and candidates alike. • Comfortable operating autonomously in a remote-first, distributed team. Nice to Have • Experience recruiting for a B2B SaaS or Salesforce ecosystem company. • Familiarity with PEOs or multi-state employment compliance. What we offer • An incredible team of smart and supportive people • A deep feeling of satisfaction and completion • Fully remote global team working from home • Stock options for every employee • Flexible work week • $400 office stipend • Maternity/Paternity leave • Student loan debt assistance • Pledge 1% - time off during the year for helping nonprofits • Health insurance contribution (if in the US) • Children's 529 college fund assistance (if in the US) About Blackthorn Blackthorn turns any organization's Salesforce® CRM into event planning software powered by their connected data. We're a growing, distributed team with teammates across the globe, and we build Salesforce-native tools that help teams create events, engage attendees, process payments, and measure success — all without leaving their CRM. Our customers range from tiny nonprofits to global corporations, and our products are known for going live in hours, not weeks. We believe the best enterprise software should feel as intuitive as the apps you use every day. Why our work matters Most event management tools force teams to juggle disconnected systems, wrestle with flimsy integrations, and spend more time syncing data than planning events. We're building the alternative: a connected platform inside Salesforce that gives organizations richer analytics to prove event ROI, better attendee experiences through personalization and automation, and the flexibility to fit any workflow. Every feature we ship helps our customers spend less time on logistics and more time on the events themselves. What the job will bring you A deep level of satisfaction through ownership of your role. You'll get more autonomy than at other companies (our team has told us). Connection. Our team is tightly knit, assisted through occasional team meetups (as we're remote). Challenge. We're trying to move as quickly as possible. This is not for you if you want to sit back and chill. As Ray Dalio says about life, "Meaningful work and meaningful relationships" provide meaning to life. We aim to bring this. While we are a remote-first culture, we are currently only able to accept applicants in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, KY, MD, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, SC, SD, TX, VA, WA, and WI Please mention the word **BELIEVEABLE** and tag RNTIuMjAzLjEyNy4yOQ== when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RNTIuMjAzLjEyNy4yOQ==).
