React Native Engineer

About us At HelpBnk, we don’t just build software; we build infrastructure for a future where everyone has the agency to follow their dreams. Co-founded by Simon Squibb, we are on a mission to Free Humanity from the trap of unfulfilling work and the looming challenges of AI-driven automation. We are a high-growth startup under the Dream Inc umbrella, creating a social platform and business-starting tools that empower people to take control of their lives. If you are tired of "just a job" and want to fight for something that matters, read on. Our Culture • Ownership. We're small, so there's a lot of open ground. If you spot something broken, you're the one who gets to fix it. That's the good part and the hard part. • Openness. Problems get named early, including our own. We'd rather have an uncomfortable conversation on Monday than a bad quarter. • AI as a tool. We build with agentic AI (Claude Code, Cursor, and whatever comes next). We're not looking for people who let it write the code unsupervised, or for people who won't touch it. We're looking for people who've worked out where it helps and where it lies to you. • Interesting problems. The work here is genuinely unsolved in places. If you like that, you'll like it here. If you'd rather have a well-defined roadmap and a clear spec, we're probably not the right fit for eachother. The Challenge We are in a pivotal phase of our journey. HelpBnk is transitioning its mobile experience from a web to a full native React Native application. Simultaneously, we are revamping our UX. As a Senior Engineer, you will have a massive impact on the future of our mobile development as we expand into new countries and verticals. What You’ll Do • Lead the Transition: Architect and build high-performance, scalable mobile applications from the ground up using React Native (TypeScript). • Master the Machines: Using agentic AI (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) in your day-to-day workflow is a strict requirement. We expect you to leverage these tools to ship "buttery smooth" UIs and clean code • Research & Innovate: Continuously discover and implement new technologies to stay up to date on the latest best practices • Own the Lifecycle: Take full responsibility for the mobile app lifecycle, from technical design and prototyping to App Store and Google Play deployment. Before You Start • 5+ years of professional experience in mobile development with a deep understanding of the iOS and Android ecosystems. • Senior-level expertise in React Native and TypeScript. • Strong knowledge of state management (Zustand, Redux) and integrating with RESTful APIs. • Experience with native build tools (Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle) and mobile CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, GitHub Actions). • Core Requirement: Proven ability to use AI coding agents to enhance productivity and maintain meticulous code quality. Why You Should Apply • Freedom: Work from where you want, when you want, we focus on output, not hours. • Impact: Your work directly helps people discover their dreams and solve world-scale problems. • Tools: We provide the software you need to perform optimally.
