Technical Bid Manager (m/f/d)

About Codesphere Codesphere is a Virtual Cloud Provider from Germany building the future of sovereign cloud infrastructure. Our platform gives enterprises and governments full sovereignty without giving up modern cloud capability – a vision recently validated by a series of multi-million European government tenders. Since our founding in Karlsruhe in 2020, we’ve expanded into an international team of 60+ experts. Based in Karlsruhe and Munich and backed by top-tier investors, we are chasing a bold vision. We’re scaling fast and would love for you to join us and grow alongside us 🚀 About the role Codesphere is entering complex, high-stakes regulated markets where winning a tender requires much more than project management. As our Technical Bid Manager, you own the end-to-end bid process and actively shape the proposal itself – translating complex requirements into a clear response strategy and turning technical expertise into a compelling, compliant, and credible offer. This is not a coordination role. You understand the scope in depth, challenge requirements, develop solution concepts, and write substantial parts of the proposal yourself. What you'll drive • You own the complete tender lifecycle – from qualification and bid strategy through proposal development, submission, clarification rounds, and handover after award • You analyse tender documents and translate technical, commercial, contractual, and compliance requirements into a structured response and execution plan • You identify gaps against our product capabilities and work with Product and Engineering on viable solution approaches • You develop key parts of the proposal yourself – executive summaries, solution descriptions, implementation approaches, and responses to evaluation criteria • You turn complex topics around cloud platforms, PaaS, Kubernetes, security, and digital sovereignty into precise and convincing tender responses • You coordinate and challenge contributions from Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and external partners to ensure one consistent, complete proposal • You build reusable templates and evidence libraries, and feed recurring market requirements back into Product Strategy What makes you a great fit • Experience with complex B2B, enterprise, or public-sector tenders, solution design, or technical proposals in software, cloud, or platform environments • Strong technical background – able to work effectively with engineers, architects, and product teams and hold your own in deeply technical discussions • Solid understanding of cloud concepts: SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD, managed services, IAM, and security • Exceptional writing skills – able to create concise, precise, and persuasive content from complex and sometimes incomplete source material • Highly organized under hard deadlines, with the ability to maintain a clear view of the overall solution and bid strategy • Confident stakeholder management – you challenge senior leaders and subject-matter experts when contributions are incomplete • Fluent in German and English • Based near Karlsruhe or Munich, comfortable with a hybrid setup What you'll tell people you are part of • You'll work on tenders that shape infrastructure powering some of Europe's most critical institutions – from the German Federal Government to leading enterprises. • We're proving European technology can outperform US hyperscalers – and you'll be part of that proof. • You’ll join early enough to shape a category that didn't exist before, late enough to know it's real. …on top of that • 32 days of paid time off – 30 regular vacation days plus Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve off • Meal allowance – up to 15 digital vouchers per month, adding up to over €100 net for you • Flexibility – hybrid work setup with mobile work options and flexibility around core hours • Steep learning curve – fast-moving environment, real ownership, and a front-row seat to scaling a company • Job-Rad – lease a bike through us, tax-free • Gym access – stay active on site (Karlsruhe office only) • Employee events – from team offsites to regular get-togethers • Company pension scheme – company-supported pension to set you up for later • Great public transport links – both offices are within walking distance of tram and metro stops Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
